Anyone get that “my childhood was stolen and it’s not fair” kind of angry

SLYTHERIN: “I feel like I could eat the world raw.” –Madeline Miller (The Song of Achilles)
characters who crave affection but at the same time have no idea how to respond to actually receiving it due to the fact theyve rarely ever experienced it are my absolute favourite
full offense but that moment when a character is absolutely steeled for anger from their partner and gets tenderness and compassion instead and they just completely lose it because they don’t feel like they deserve it after how they’ve behaved and have no idea how to handle it is so, so, so good and if i ever stop loving it just assume i’ve died and been replaced with a really bad forgery.
All. OF. THIS.
honestly I feel like a really underappreciated scene in the doctor falls is when a cyberman shows up in the elevator and the master starts shrieking ‘kill it! kill it! kill it! kill it! kill it!’ hysterically like why aren’t we talking about that
That moment actually annoys the hell out of me on one level (I won’t waste everyone’s time meta’ing about how it seems slightly tone deaf to his characterization and is another way to make him look stupid compared to Missy) but on another level it’s fucking hilarious, like the Cyberman is a fucking spider or something and the Master is standing on a chair in a fit of hysterics.
