It’s actually FASCINATING to read your stuff, because your Master is exactly where mine was about an actual chronological year ago. Maybe longer actually. When I first started playing him, and on his bad days, he will still fall into one of these self-doubting ruts. Now he’s in a place of vastly sturdier self-esteem and emotional health. Things like trauma never have a “cure” but he’s comparably flourishing. And cheering on his counterpart from either an alternate timeline or the future. <333

Guys, be careful you don’t let the unnecessary comment over Peter Capaldi divide you over Twelve versus Thirteen. The corporate level of the show is trying to divvy the fans up into combative camps for profit and fan “enthusiasm,” it’s what Marvel has always done too. It’s a publicity stunt for money. And they did the same thing with the Simm Master and Missy. “Who’s the best? Put in your vote for your favorite ‘version,’ and tune in!”

If there was any problem with the last “era” of the show, Peter Capaldi was not to blame, but it’s easier to throw an actor exiting the team under the bus than a director or writing staff who retain connections with the current regime. So the real problem stays protected. Which is a shame.

But don’t let that cheapen Peter’s legacy for you, or make you resent Jodie either. It’s manipulative bullshit. Resist it. ❤ Each Doctor is wonderful for their own reasons.
