//My heart breaks for you and for the people of the Pittsburgh synagogue and the entire American Jewish community. What I am doing is literally just common decency. I am chronically ill and disabled so I can’t do much more than talk about this in the public sphere and signal boost resources for Jewish people on the internet. I am not Jewish but a huge chunk of my matrilineal family was, and I have so much reverence for the entirety of the Jewish experience. Thank you for expressing gratitude but really I have done laughably little as an ally besides what everyone ought to be doing. If there is anything else in the future that you can think of that I can do from behind a keyboard, or even via community outreach with my church or as a college prof to my students, feel free to let me know.
Others reading this, read this article. It’s important. We need to fight this. It is unacceptable. Shame on Donald Trump and the hate he has given anti-Semites and other terrorists the excuse to act upon.
