//A day and a second viewing later, sorting my feelings….I loved about 85-90% of The Woman Who Fell To Earth.  But there is about 10-15% that I didn’t like. And I’m sort of terrified to voice my qualms, until the hype dies down, but @halorvic whom I highly admire just mentioned like, the main qualm I had about the episode, so I feel emboldened to say something at some point. Maybe in a day or two. 

//OKAYYYYY wishlist time:

–Come at me all my Thirteens. I want to actively write my mainverse as though the Master is traveling in the TARDIS with the Doctor, Yaz, Ryan, and Graham.  Sort of a Shalkaverse scenario only he’s still a biological being and not a robot.

–My Master is physically disabled which I decided way before we learned about Ryan’s disability.  I want him to learn about Ryan’s physical disability and I want them to actually bond over this.  

–Master and Yaz sass-off please.

–Stuff highlighting that the Master (as Missy PROVED) is capable of remorse and of embodying what the Doctor refers to as changing while honoring our past self simultaneously. 

–Honestly ANYthing that makes my muse a part of an AU current plotline. PLEASE. 

Welp. I would die for the Thirteenth Doctor, just as I suspected. 

–Way, WAY darker tone than I expected, very little humor save via the Doctor herself.  Not super fond of that, but I’ll adapt. 
–She is precisely what I pictured, how I have been writing her and anticipating her, a mix of brusqueness, vivacity, pixie femininity and stomping masculinity, hypomanic loquacity and childlike wonder.  She has a healthy compassion I haven’t seen expressed by the  Doctor except in a ponderous, guilt-inducing fashion in many faces.  She reminds me, in short, of the Tenth Doctor, minus his sanctimonious propensity to dehumanize and use his companions.  Less than halfway into her first episode, she is my favorite of all the Doctors. Period. No contest.  
–She has a wonderful combination of vulnerability and invincibility that I can’t quite articulate but that is new.  Like I said, the Oncoming Cinnamon Roll.  
–Ryan’s disability cuts me to the core and I can relate to him SO. MUCH.  I would die for him, and I would die for his grandmother.  
–In fact Grace is wonderful.  I REALLY love Grace.  She’s so quietly compassionate. Really pissed they killed her off. 
–I’m a little neutral on Graham, although he does remind me a bit of Wilfred Mott, whom I adore.
–Yasmin is my favorite companion. She is warm and assertive and reasonable.  I expected this.  I also expect her to be the one on whom the Doctor most emotionally leans. They click the most. 
–Genetic bombs, interesting and terrifying concept. 
–When the Doctor cheerfully declares the coziness of the couch, then later  yells “OI! DON’T YOU MOVE!” at the villain LMAO. That’s when I’m like “yes, it’s her.”  
–Also when she apologizes profusely for all the things that are beyond her control and takes responsibility for saving everyone when she hasn’t even fully healed from regenerating :’’’) peak Doctor.
–When she tosses down the tools she just spent forever putting together saying “I’ll be right in the end hopefully: I have to be!” I laugh then start crying???? 
–”Should be fine” appears to be a mantra lol. 
–”Tim Shaw” LOL. 
–”I am special!” “Yes you are!” ❤ 
–”We’re all capable of the most incredible change. We can evolve while still staying true to who we are.  We can honor who we’ve been and choose who we want to be next.” Tell me that wasn’t her talking about the Master/Missy, I dare you. 

–”I’m the doctor.” I lost my shit and sobbed. 

–And terrifying when she has to be.  And kind  too.

But that said, is there anyone who is watching it tomorrow that can rabbit it for me? I don’t think I get that channel with my cable and I’m in the States. 😦 

If i have to I can actually just buy it on iTunes, the price is just pretty steep.
