Ryan introduces 13 to millenial/gen z humor and it descends into shitposting across the Tardis for instance; 13 says “I really do love working her we all just have such a nice time” and Ryan yells back from across the room “FUCK OFF JANET AND I’M NOT GOING TO YOUR FUCKING BABY SHOWER” or them saying random existentialist shit and Graham getting genuinely concerned.
I don’t just want to see thirteen snap. I want her to snap so hard it terrifies her friends. I want them to realize who they’re really traveling with. I want them to be standoffish as a result. I want them to question if they’re with a hero or a villain, and then realize they’re with both.
I’m so fascinated with this scene, throughout Thirteen’s body language is casual, unimpressed. And then Krasko threatens Thirteen’s friends– you can see all sense of play leave Thirteen’s face, see the way her eyes go a little steely, and her voice a little chilly when she says: ‘Don’t threaten me.’
A hint of the oncoming storm, leashed. Let out enough that Krasko looked perturbed.
The most terrifying warnings aren’t those delivered with bluster and pomp, it’s the ones that’s done almost casually, because they don’t need the bluster. Here Thirteen really fits the definition of Tranquil Fury.
casual intimacy kills me every time. grand gestures are cute and all but seeing two people who are just totally comfortable with having each other in their space, who dont think twice about leaning into each other and thoughtlessly holding each other while doing unrelated things….. thats love
one of the most frustrating moods is Desperate Need to Create Something, Anything + persistent lack of motivation/attention/ability/time/inspiration/energy to do so
