“Can I ask you a question?” he says pensively. They always go in peaks and troughs, these two, and though they’d both been fairly steady for a good long while, it could only last for so long before one of them slid down again. This time, it’s Jack, whispering from the couch in Koschei’s workshop underneath the weighted blanket he got him for Christmas last year.
He doesn’t wait for his husband to answer, though he does pause to find his courage again. “If the Doctor showed up tomorrow, apologised and begged forgiveness, promised they’d never leave you again… What would you do?”
The question pierces Koschei through both hearts simultaneously, like a lance entering his chest from the side.
He literally, physically stumbles in the process of carrying toys the twins left scattered on the floor of their seaside cottage to their cedarwood toy bin. The look on his face is probably more betrayed than he’d wish.
“Look, I know I have my moments of insecurity too, but I am begging you not to tell me you think I’d honestly leave you.”

We’re committed to helping build a safe online environment for all users, and we have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to media featuring child sexual exploitation and abuse. As this is an industry-wide problem, we work collaboratively with our industry peers and partners like NCMEC to actively monitor content uploaded to the platform. Every image uploaded to Tumblr is scanned against an industry database of known child sexual abuse material, and images that are detected never reach the platform. A routine audit discovered content on our platform that had not yet been included in the industry database. We immediately removed this content. Content safeguards are a challenging aspect of operating scaled platforms. We’re continuously assessing further steps we can take to improve and there is no higher priority for our team.
Please please please, for the love of everything, stop spreading fear in our community. They are not purging your blogs for having NSFW content. Hate to do this, guys, but this year I’ve moved back to my hometown and that means tons of guests and social obigations this week (I’m American and it’s Thanksgiving week). I know this will disappoint some of you and I’m really really sorry, but I promise to be back to Tumblr regularly after this weekend.
