ooc: Whyyy can’t people just like what they like without shitting on what they don’t? I love the Master and Doctor which ever gender expression they are, personally, I would have loved to see RTD write Missy’s eps because I feel that Moffat was openly shitting on the past writer’s works and saying “oh look how much better I am!”

//That is basically all that Moffat ever does; it’s even worse in Sherlock. Arthur Conan Doyle must be turning over in his grave. But don’t even get me started on him.

I adore Missy and I would have loved to see ANY other writer handle her, because the idea of her is magnificent, but there were elements of the execution that were beneath her amazing potential as a character.

Mostly I just believe tearing something down to build something else up is a fundamentally foolish, cruel endeavor.

Thanks ❤

“It’s the modern show’s other incarnation of the Master, ‘Missy,’ the Mistress, who defines the character for modern audiences.”

See this is why I don’t even bother anymore.

This is the shit that makes me want to just delete this blog and quit.

WHY IS IT A COMPETITION? THIS SHIT IS SO DIVISIVE AND DAMAGING!

Also what Dalek army? The Toclafane were self-cannibalized humans, get your fucking facts straight lmfao????

Just don’t  tell me there isn’t a HUGE and bizarrely fashionable bias against the RTD era characters.  It exists and there are these weird inexplicable micro-aggressions toward those of us who write those characters at every turn.

It’s as uncalled-for as that asshole columnist who said that Peter Capaldi’s Doctor was “not universally loved” so “yay for Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor, she’s so much better.” You don’t! Have! TO TEAR SOMEONE DOWN! IN ORDER! TO UPLIFT! SOMEONE ELSE!

//Well how am I doing today?

My head hurts so badly that I just started bawling. Which is. Unlike me, as I have a high threshold of pain.

Also I just bit the bullet and bought Doctor Who Series Eleven on iTunes and then realized after the fact that it might not make the new episode available to me until an hour from now or even tomorrow :)))

AH WELL.

Ugh, tell me about it. Tony’s got 150+ and picks up more every day. Surprisingly, Layla is actually up to 79 at this exact moment, but she’s also been around for longer. Swapping her mainverse fandom interactions primarily to DWEU has helped, but it’s still frustrating at times. Though I wouldn’t give up the interactions I’ve managed to wrangle out of any of her followers for anything. I love the shenanigans she gets up to, especially with your muses.

nodnodnod. i was thinking about Layla as i wrote this post, actually, and another friend’s OC, Nahia.  ❤

//Follower counts really are buckwild lmao, like a Ten I’m following was just saying.  For one there is the issue of female muses being pitifully overshadowed by male, which I know from experience with my Diana Prince (about 100 followers after a year) and Thirteenth Doctor (58 followers after 4 weeks) blogs, and from watching three of my good friends struggle to get traction for their fandomless female OC’s.  Meanwhile I JUST made a Good Omens Crowley blog YESTERDAY and he has 27 followers already, WITHOUT a blog promo!

For another, it’s so determimed by the aggression of the fanbase.  My Loki blog has 2,500+ followers.  My Jim Moriarty blog has 924 followers.  I am rarely active on the latter.  My Gabriel blog has close to 1,000 followers.  These are in the MCU, BBC Sherlock, and SPN fandoms, respectively, and all wildly popular characters.

Then there’s this blog. For the past two years out of the nearly four that I’ve run this blog, I have struggled to reach 600 followers. I gain a trickle of four or five followers a month if I’m lucky.  LMAO. And this is EASILY the blog I am on the most often.  But it’s no longer fashionable to like Simm Master, so here we are. Similarly Rise of the Guardians has been dead for years, so my Pitch Black blog has dwindled followers down to about 150.

Buck. Wild.

His attitude and voice. That’s what I love about how you play him. SASS MASTER

Anonymously send me your favorite detail about how I play my character.

LOL bless you.  With every character I write, I perform this test in dialogue.  If I can’t hear the actor’s voice, then I delete and rewrite the dialogue until I can hear them.  My favorite thing about Simm!Master is that he is constantly sassy and imperious; there’s something about it that’s equal parts detestably obnoxious, and endearing (at least to me), and I think it’s part of the whole “runs hot instead of cold” thing that sets him apart from most if not all of the other Masters/Missys.

It’s funny because I had a follower, who meant no harm, God bless them, who recently read my verses and got from them that since my Master is “reformed” in most of his verses, he’s a “mild” Master (these were their exact words) and I was just like “NnnnnnnnoooOOOOOOT. Reallyyyyy……” LOL. So I’m glad you noticed this about him.
